Did You Earn Your Labor Day?
Labor Day has been celebrated across the United States since 1894 when Congress legitimized it as a national holiday. Taking place on the first Monday in September, people all over the U.S. not only get the benefit of having a day off from work and school but they also get to enjoy going to barbecues and seeing family & friends. The unofficial "close to summer" often brings one last celebration to cap off the summer fun and enter the Fall season.
Being American and living in the greatest country in the world certainly does have its benefits. Granted, in light of the world today there are so many people wanting to change our way of life but it is up to each and every one of you to stand up and fight for what being an American is all about. America is truly the land of opportunity! America is one of the only places in the world where you have the right to work as hard as you want and be rewarded for it. Regardless of the business you are in, you can virtually guarantee that the harder you work, the more success you will have. Why do you think so many people from other countries want to come to the United States? People know that they can escape whichever ideology or movement their birth country demands of them and come to America as a free man or woman. They can leave that life behind them and start a new life that compensates them solely based on how much they work their butt's off. Through blood, sweat, and tears millions of Americans have executed this mindset and it is because of this, that Labor Day is able to be celebrated.
Theodore Roosevelt once said, "It is through labor and painful effort, by grim energy and resolute courage, that we move on to better things." It is imperative that for you to perfect your skill or become more successful, you need to continue to work harder. As humans, we are always trying to become better than we were yesterday. Whether you are a pilot, a farmer, a carpenter, or a cashier at a retail store, the harder you work and the good quality labor you put into that role, the greater you will become. This is the backbone in which this country was built on. From our founding fathers creating our U.S. Constitution to our military and law enforcement hero's fighting to keep us safe and to our parents instilling in us the importance of independence and self-preservation. The one thing they all have in common is they have worked harder each and every day with goals to improve and provide a better life for themselves, their families, & their country.
