Lucky Shot USA® High Caliber. Handcrafted. We are committed to giving munitions a second chance!
I have sent two emails requesting a replacement and have had no response. It looks like they tried to squeeze it into a box that was too small.
This is what I done when I was in Air Force was a load toad I had a 50 cal and 20MM I needed a 30 to finish this.
I was stationed at RAF Bentwaters in 1979-1981 when the 81st TFW replaced the F-4D Phantoms with the A-10A Thunderbolts (affectionately known as "Warthogs"). During the transition the Air Force introduced us to the awesome power of the 30mm GAU-8 Avenger rotary cannon which is absolutely the pointy end of the A10. Very impressive watching film of this flying Gatling gun ripping through tanks and armored carriers like tissue paper. During my tour I somehow (eh-hem) wound up with a souvenir 30mm dummy round that never made it home - being confiscated from my personal belongings when I returned to the States. So I was excited when I found a company that sells authentic 30mm cannon rounds exactly like the one I had all those years ago. I acquired one of these rounds from Lucky Shot a couple years ago and it has been proudly displayed in my den ever since. Then, this Christmas, I was looking for the perfect gift to give to my brother-in-law who is a military history aficionado - with special focus on the various types of armament which were developed and deployed throughout the 20th century. Needless to say the 30mm round, which arrived in pristine condition, was a big hit and has been added to my bro's "armament room". My problem now is that I don't know how I'm going to top this gift come Christmas 2021...
I customized it with my son's name and it sits on his bookshelf. It also gave me a chance to talk to him about how it is used in our armed forces to protect our freedom and our country.
Verry impressive right out of the box. Makes you really think what this thing was made for. My Correctional Officer friends may recognize the acronym which was engraved perfectly. Kudos to Lucky Shot. Much respect to the men and women who serve.
This round with a satin black-casing and polished & clearcoated projectile is beautiful. Perfect! I also will put on my wish-list a true colored APIT round with all the nomenclature and markings/colors of the real McCoy! Good job folks.
My Son really loved it but it was kind of a bummer that the bullet is a little lose.
Awesome product. Going to make great handles for my project.
